Eyes tattoos:
The image of the eye is quite a popular theme in many designs. They
are often used within patterns, or to create unusual effects. For
example, some people get eye tattoos on their hands - especially the
palms. You can also have two eyes tattooed on your back, or even on the
back of your head. So this create the image of "seeing behind you".
Other
locations can be used, such as the ankle, or the forearm. Usually the
tattoos in this area will give the effect of an eye which is "watching
out" from the location in which it is placed.
Another option is to
have an eyelid tattoo. Obviously there isn't much room here, and it can
be quite painful - but smaller tattoos, such as the name of a loved one
are relatively common for this area. For a slightly startling effect,
you can have an "open eye" tattooed on your eye lid - so when you blink,
the tattoo appears. This will certainly create quite a reaction when
someone sees your tattoo here!
Sometimes eyes can be a focal point
of a tattoo, with tribal work surrounding it. You can also find designs
where the eye image is peering out from another graphic, such as a
heart, a cross, or a flower.
